EVENTS
Though my shop has closed, the award-winning Second Saturday continues in historic downtown Elizabethtown. Businesses host guests and activities, and the downtown sidewalks offer vendors who make crafts or food. My past guests have included musicians, artists, writers and crafters of all sorts.
As in past years, Second Saturday in September 2013 featured Via Colori, the street-painting festival. If you're not familiar with it, Streets and Via Colori is an event in which streets and sidewalks become works of art before your eyes! Artists fill downtown, and vendors and activities are plentiful! Check out the Via Colori website: www.kyviacolori.com.
Me guest for Second Saturday in August 2013 was Stephanie Graham owner of Evensew. Stephanie sold her handmade hair bows.
Cruisin' the Heartland was Saturday July 27, 2013. Hundreds of classic and vintage cars filled downtown, along with a free concert, food vendors and other attractions.
Musician Luie Brangers was back for July's Second Saturday on July 13, 2013. Crafter Mona Ferrell was my guest in front of my shop with her wire-wrapped jewelry.
June's Second Saturday event on June 8, 2013, featured Luie Brangers in an acoustic performance in front of the shop.
The Second Saturday held May 11, 2013, featured my special musical guest Zach Alexander. A Central Hardin High School senior, Zach single-handedly won the Louisville region competition for Hard Rock Rising Global Battle of the Bands.
The previous Second Saturday was April 13, 2013, and my guest was "D" Man & the Alley Hounds playing some great blues music!
Second Saturday May 2012 welcomed members of Big Biting Pig Productions, a Madisonville independent film company. They even brought the namesake of their movie, "The Creepy Doll."

Second Saturday in April featured the music of 'D' Man & the Alley Hounds!
